Unveiling Pet Portraiture: Venetia Higgins Invites Dog Tales Club Members to Capture Timeless Canine Memories
Venetia Higgins, proud owner of Otis boy, is a contemporary illustrator, painter and print-maker from London. She studied History of Art at the University of Edinburgh and has just completed the Royal Drawing School’s Drawing Development Year 2022, at post-graduate level.
Alongside her personal art practice, Venetia undertakes private commissions – including wedding stationary, house illustrations, and pet portraits. She is especially known for her dog portraits and has clients all over the world! She absolutely loves bringing dogs to life on paper and canvas. Working from photographs, Venetia specialises in a detailed, realistic style, using top quality coloured pencils, watercolour paint or oil paint to create each bespoke portrait.
As a fellow Dog Tales client, Venetia would be absolutely delighted to draw or paint some four-legged members of the DTC family. She has availability for private commissions from April 2024 onwards. Prices vary, depending on commission size, material and subject matter.
